Meet Your President

Club President Julia Bradbury will be attending this year’s NFOL.  Julia will be enjoying all the traditional fun of NFOL, including judging the Mardi Gras, Lighting-up and the Cadac Cook-off. Julia will also be on the main stage in the Swift Marquee at 11am and 3.30pm on Saturday.

Credited with revamping Sunday night primetime television on BBC One’s Countryfile, and dubbed “Lady of the Lakes” following her many walking series, Julia’s reputation as the face of the outdoors began when she presented Wainwright Walks, a stunning BBC Four series shot in the Lake District.

Julia has presented many genres of programming from motor based sports to consumer affairs, but she is best known for her love of travel and the outdoors and this is reflected in Britain’s Favorite Walks: Top 100 and her 6 part walking series, Britain’s Best Walks. In 2015 Julia moved “homes” to ITV where she presented a five part show Wonders of Britain. This saw her travelling across the country reporting on some of her favorite wonders that make Britain great from our industrial and royal heritage, to rolling countryside, dramatic coastline and beautifully eclectic buildings. In 2016 Best Walks With A View was one of Julia’s new ITV walking programs, where she hiked across the UK showing off some spectacular walking locations.

More recently, you will have seen your President travelling further afield in  Julia Bradbury’s Australia, where Julia travels from the west to east coast, and talks to surfers, crocodile wranglers and conservationists, combining her passions for travel and the environment.

Julia’s impressive back catalogue of presenting posts and details of all her adventures can be found at, where you will also find a link to The Outdoor Guide, also known as TOG. Julia co-founded TOG with her sister Gina to give views and outdoor enthusiasts an online resource that mirrors the walks and attractions included in Julia’s programs and details everything you need to know to enjoy time in the great outdoors.
